Welcome to our Spotlight on: Sparrows.

Sparrows can be found in a variety of habitats, from urban areas to rural farmland.
They are very social birds and often live in large flocks, which can contain hundreds or even thousands of individuals.

Sparrows are omnivores and eat a variety of foods, including seeds, insects, and small fruits. They are known for their energetic and acrobatic flights, which often involve sudden changes of direction and sharp turns.

Sparrows build their nests in a variety of locations, including trees, buildings, and even garden sheds. They are very territorial birds and will fiercely defend their nests against intruders.

The male sparrow is known for its beautiful and distinctive song, which it uses to attract a mate and defend its territory.

Despite their small size, sparrows are surprisingly tough and resilient, with many surviving harsh winters and other challenging conditions.

In the past, sparrows were considered pests by farmers, who blamed them for eating crops. Today, they are protected under UK law and are considered important indicators of the health of the countryside.

In some cultures, sparrows are associated with good luck and prosperity, and are often seen as symbols of hope and renewal.

For nearly 20 years, we have been designing and manufacturing market-leading products created specifically for watching wildlife up close, and have recently launched our latest development - a Solar-Powered WiFi Bird Box Camera System.
