When is the best time of year to put up a bird box or wildlife camera?
Many birds will prospect for nesting sites during the autumn and winter, looking for a suitable place to feed and roost. They then often use the same location for nesting the following spring. Read more about the ideal place for a bird box here.

This multi-species bird box offers market-leading quality, durability and great value for money. Handmade in our UK workshops from responsibly sourced, high-grade PEFC Western Red Cedar, our bird nesting box design follows guidelines suggested by the RSPB and BTO.
Our bird box WiFi camera kit offers a top-down, close-up HD camera view of the nesting chamber, so you can be right there in the nest getting to know the chicks!
This style of bird box incorporates a removable front panel, pre-drilled with a 32mm hole. Also included are optional 28mm and 32mm hole reduction / protection plates, making this the ideal nest box for a wide range of garden birds, such as:

A quick-release mounting bracket holds the HD camera in the optimum position. This also allows for ease of camera transfer between other Gardenature camera nest boxes and viewcam feeder products if required.

This WiFi camera is an IP (internet Protocol) bird box camera kit that allows easy streaming of live video and audio directly to your smartphone or tablet.
HD 1080p Colour Images
This 2.0 Megapixel wildlife camera features high-tech processes like 'Starlight Imaging' and 'IR-Cut' filtering to deliver the best colour image in even the lowest light. This nest box WiFi camera provides stunning high definition 1920 x 1080p true HD colour images - superior to any other bird box camera on the market today!
Night Vision
The high-spec WiFi camera also includes a built-in light sensor to gradually supplement loss of light with its 10 night-vision infrared LEDs to produce sharp black and white video in complete darkness for 24-hour viewing.
It is important to consider that when installing this type of WiFi camera into your own nesting box (or enclosed habitat) that it will deliver black and white images when there is not enough natural light. Our bird box WiFi colour camera has been primarily designed for use in Gardenature nesting boxes where it will produce HD colour images down to extremely low light levels.
Audio
This camera includes a highly sensitive microphone allowing you to clearly hear as well as see what's going on.
Wide-angle Lens
We achieved a perfect 92-degree viewing angle using a 4mm lens that gets you up close to the action, whilst maintaining high-definition images covering the broadest angle without any distortion.
Pre-assembled & Pre-focused
We have already pre-focused the lens for use in a camera-ready bird house, but you can very easily adjust it to suit your alternative project applications if required.
No Network Cable Required
The built-in WiFi allows you to simply connect to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network without running a network cable back to your house.
Decide where you want to place the WiFi camera then measure the distance back to your nearest power outlet. The kit comes with 10M of power cable.
Onboard Recording
With the use of a micro-SD card you can record when motion is detected and replay it later via the app.
