Overview

This interactive Stacked Solitary Beehive is constructed with durable, long-lasting responsibly sourced cedar and features six solid stacking trays for easy viewing, maintenance and cleaning. Attracting solitary bees to the garden is safe, fun and beneficial to the pollination of flowers, fruit and vegetables.

The hole sizes are perfectly designed to attract non-swarming bees like the Red Mason Bee, Leafcutter Bee and other solitary bee species. These friendly bees are productive and safe around children and pets. The bees are naturally attracted to holes in wood, and this Stacked Solitary Beehive provides a habitat that has become harder to find in modern gardens.

Fascinating and ideal for education, the stacked beehive trays can be easily removed to view the formation of small cells where the eggs are laid or where predators have been active.

Bees Are Essential for Ecological Balance & Biodiversity in Nature!

Bees provide one of the most vital ecosystem services - pollination. This is what makes food production possible. By pollinating, bees protect and maintain essential ecosystems, as well as other animal and plant species, and contribute to genetic diversity.

Bees themselves are also part of the food chain. Many species of bird, including blackbirds and starlings prey on bees, as do many spiders and insects.

Your garden serves as a home for hundreds of tiny creatures, from birds and squirrels to thousands of tiny insects. If bees disappeared, the animals that depend on these plants for survival would quickly vanish as well.

Bees (and other pollinators) are responsible for the pollination of nearly three quarters of the plants that produce 90% of the world’s food - a third of the world’s food production depends on bees! If that's not reason enough to help protect them, then we don't know what is!

You can do your part to protect bees with our Stacked Solitary Beehive or explore our range of other Bee Habitats here.
