With its pre-installed HD camera for quick and easy set-up, this Gardenature bird feeder camera kit has been carefully designed to get the viewer right up close to the birds as they crunch away on the kernels.
Watch birds feeding, nursing their young or even taking a little nap with this carefully positioned top of the range camera. The Sony Effio 700 TV Line camera used in this kit provides outstanding colour images during the day, and black & white infrared images by night.There is also a built in microphone so you can hear as well as see what's going on at your bird feeders. 

This complete bird feeder camera kit is supplied with a nyjer seed feeder to get you started, but you can use it with your existing seed / nut feeders if required (recommended max length of feeder 450mm). Hang the bird feeder on the hook in front of the camera and watch birds feeding really close up, if you have a few feeders already in place simply position the camera to capture them all like a general wildlife cam. Have fun discovering which species like what food and what time of the day they visit.    

This bird camera kit has other uses too! Keeping the camera in its viewcam housing you can try setting it closer to the ground, leave some food out to watch ground feeding birds or mammals.

The Camera

This Sony EFFIO CCD Ultra High Resolution 700TVL (TV Line) Camera has been designed specifically for use with Gardenature camera nest boxes and feeder camera kits. This truly outstanding bird box camera uses an intelligent Sony Effio DSP Chip which operates with a Super Light Sensor to cleverly adjust the image quality to suit its environment. Not only this, the light sensor also serves to adjust the x10 infrared (IR) night vision LEDs to a graduating on/off, gently supplementing loss or gain of natural light levels. The result of this outstanding technology is that we can now produce ultra high resolution colour images in full light of day and sharp black and white images at night or low light level conditions. This mini bird feeder camera also incorporates a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear as well as see what's going on. The camera has a 3.6mm lens which produces a 92 degree viewing angle. The lens will have already been pre-focused to the correct position for you, but it can very easily be adjusted to suit alternative applications.

The Wiring Bit

A professional x3 core cable (Audio/Video/12vDC) is already connected to the camera inside the viewcam feeder, the other end of the cable needs to be routed into your property. The cable plugs are black, yellow and white. The black is for mains power and connects to the (supplied)12V DC power adaptor / plug. The remaining RCA yellow (video) and white (audio) connectors can either plug into a spare AV/AUX socket on your TV, / DVD recorder, or a spare TV scart input using the (supplied) scart adaptor. Switch on at the mains plug, then select the appropriate AV channel on your TV, sit back and wait for the show to start!  All very easy to do but if you need any help we are just a phone call away.
