This ladybird tower is likely to attract ladybirds and other beneficial insects, it is made from natural air dried FSC timber logs and so the appearance may vary between editions.
Each tower is cleverly constructed to provide a hollow central chamber filled with straw to offer insulation and security to the beneficial insects. Access to the central chamber is made through the paths that have been pre-drilled in the sides of the ladybird log. The central chamber is protected by the apex roof.
The ladybird tower comes with a small ground pole, this allows the ladybird log to be sited into lawns, sheltered flower beds, wooded glades or even into planters.
To encourage occupation of the tower by ladybirds you can smear ladybird food on the entrance holes.
The slow-seasoned naturally durable timbers require no chemical preservatives that might deter occupation of your ladybird tower
