Gardenature Welcomes New Managing Director

Gardenature Welcomes New Managing Director

We are pleased to announce our acquisition by experienced entrepreneur Richard Freedman, who will also be acting as managing director. We will continue trading at our current premises in Clacton-on-sea, Essex, and would like to reassure customers that there will not be any disruption to ordering or fulfilment processes.

The Gardenature company was co-founded by Simon and Angela Byland in 2004. Commenting on the acquisition, Simon, said:

“Angela and I have enjoyed immensely watching the business grow over the years. What started out as a hobby turned into a successful award-winning business that is now recognised as one of the UKs top wildlife camera system suppliers. However, it is time for us to step back to pursue other ventures outside of business.

“We are delighted to be handing over the keys to Richard; he is experienced in the world of business and shares the same sustainability values that Gardenature has been built on. We wish Richard and the rest of the team all the best for the future and we look forward to watching the business flourish from afar.”

“I am thrilled to be investing in the Gardenature company and growing the business in my capacity as managing director,” Freedman said. “There is huge potential in the Gardenature brand. The outdoors and wildlife industry are thriving in the current climate as people are getting outside more and becoming more aware of their environment and the nature around them.

“It is a great time to be evolving the business and expanding into new markets. Gardenature is an established brand which has become synonymous with high-quality, handmade products. The ethos and excellence associated with the brand will be maintained whilst we expand our product offering and strengthen our customer service and manufacturing capabilities.

“There will be a significant investment into sustainability, nature conservation and developing eco-friendly manufacturing techniques. By working closely with wildlife associations and leading experts, we aim to establish Gardenature as the world’s leading authoritative wildlife brand.”

We would like to welcome Richard, and we look forward to this new chapter for Gardenature!
